after being officially done with my first year in poly, im now done with competing in intermediate boulder.
how is that possible?
simply by being lucky in boulderactive 2006 and getting a 3rd in its intermediate men category.
why lucky?
cause hafiz nyp had 3 bonuses while i had 4.
the rest were the same.
so if i did not get the bonus on route 3 that i tried so hard for, there would have been a tie.
or if i had wasted any more attempts, the results could simply change.
for better or worse, either way it would have been nice.
i mean, its nice getting top 3 in intermediate after you've just had your glory in the previous category in the recent-but-not-so-recent competition, rockmaster XI.
imagine having to compete in the open category in less than a year's experience.
im not bragging or anything, but i just want u to think about it.
u might think that u're still nowhere near the 'oh-so-mighty' open standard.
but come on!
u have just gotten 'kicked out' of intermediate.
and now u are 'forced' to compete in open.
doesnt that make u wanna grow stronger?
doesnt that make u wanna train harder/smarter for the glory of your own capabilities the next time u are being questioned of your own standards?
think about it.
dont point at me, ive already done the thinking.
and my decision is..
maybe u can wait for pumpfest 06 and then u might be able to catch a glimpse of what my 'decision' was..
